About

The Planetarium and The Astronomical Observer are the places where Astronomy is home.

The Astronomical Observer is located on the second floor of the Museum of Natural Scences from Galați, next to the Planetarium.

It is the biggest and the most modern public observer in Romania, being the first public observer with a tractable roof in the country. You will have the chance to watch the sky using the largest telescope designated to the Romanian public. Here you will also be able to see live broadcasts of images of the moon and other celestial bodies. In case of astronomical events it also provides live transmissions of the Sun and Moon eclipses.

Children under 7 years of age are not allowed at the Astronomical Observatory.
The projections from the Planetarium are broadcast for groups of at least 5 interested people. Children under 3 years are restricted. Tickets can be purchased from the shop located on the ground floor of the museum.

Built in the vicinity of the Danube river, the Botanical Garden, the Aquarium and the Planetarium blend into a picture of Heaven, in which the miracles of earth, water and sky were shown to the first men in all their grandeur.
