„Sfinţii Arhangheli“ – Metoc Monastery

The Monastery of the "Sf. Arhangheli" - Metoc of Galați is one of the spiritual establishments withoutstanding historic value in the Danubian city.

The church is built in the late Moldavian style, with Wallachian influences, without an open tower above the nave. The church has a trefoil plan and is reinforced with buttresses. The construction is made of stone (bottom) and brick (vaults and walls). The walls have a thickness of 1.5 m. The bell tower, 21 m high, is massive compared to the rest of the building, and it is located above the porch.
